Since this movie apparently didn’t do too well in theaters, I was expecting something half-assed and craptastic, but it turns out it was visually enticing till the last minute and just a thrill ride I wasn’t even ready for, given that it turned out to be SO different than the original film with Arnold.
I had totally forgotten what the first one was about, but I could still pinpoint certain areas where they repeated something or parts where there was some retooling. The most noteworthy part that most people seem to have talked about online, being a character that comes from the original film and gets a new and improved makeover: The three boobed chick. How can one forget her!? In the original film, I was a kid watching it, feeling amazed by the special effects and then you see THAT, and you’re like “whoa! cool!”, cut to today and the very same thing came to mind. Only better, cause it was just a better version in every way (prettier chick, better effects for the boobage).
And yeah, speaking of women, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale both did a such a great job here. I was literally scared shitless of Kate’s character. She was relentless and tough as hell.
